Sitting on the rail at MBYC with the sunset behind me. Purr yum, long red hair *bats at it* I'm not giving out my hair secrets -- my little magic brush and hair dye are my friends :)
((liferafting from Posterous)) I am a cat who sometimes appears as a neko. I am a girl. I like to sail, build, explore, converse, fly, and defy conventional expectations. I am loved by those who love me and I love them for putting up with me - befriending a cat takes skill and patience. I live most of my virtual life in the East River Community of Second Life. I also really, really like tuna.

"Pull For The Shore"
elishacat- February 6th, 2007
- Current Mood:
sad
Light in the darkness, sailor, day is at hand!
See o'er the foaming billows fair haven's land,
Drear was the voyage, sailor, now almost o'er,
Safe within the life boat, sailor, pull for the shore.Pull for the shore, sailor, pull for the shore!
Heed not the rolling waves, but bend to the oar;
Safe in the life boat, sailor, cling to self no more!
Leave the poor old stranded wreck, and pull for the shore.Trust in the life boat, sailor, all else will fail,
Stronger the surges dash and fiercer the gale,
Heed not the stormy winds, though loudly they roar;
Watch the "bright and morning Star," and pull for the shore!Pull for the shore, sailor, pull for the shore!
Heed not the rolling waves, but bend to the oar;
Safe in the life boat, sailor, cling to self no more!
Leave the poor old stranded wreck, and pull for the shore.Bright gleams the morning, sailor, uplift the eye;
Clouds and darkness disappearing, glory is nigh!
Safe in the life boat, sailor, sing evermore;
"Glory, glory, hallelujah!" pull for the shore.Pull for the shore, sailor, pull for the shore!
Heed not the rolling waves, but bend to the oar;
Safe in the life boat, sailor, cling to self no more!
Leave the poor old stranded wreck, and pull for the shore.We, all of us, will miss you."And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years."
- Abraham Lincoln ("Pull For The Shore" Words & Music: Philip P. Bliss, Sunshine for Sunday Schools, 1873)

well, I -do- have green eyes...
elishacat- February 5th, 2007
Went dancing at a boathouse on Oceanside Pier last night (Mark eventually joined me) and the cutest DJ I'd ever seen was there handling the entertainment...What is it with me and crushing on cute DJs?And I wanted her hair so bad. I, uh, dyed it when I got home. I thought it would be startling looking, given that it is now flame red. But it doesn't look -as- out of whack as I thought it would. Still distracting, but not bizarrely so.I'll post a pic later when I have time.
